Importance of Proper Posture

Posture                                                                         Saturday 20, 2016

Both Gloria and Arla are standing in proper or neutral posture.  This keeps the spine aligned, the organs where they should be (not squished) and makes breathing a lot easier.

Whether exercising or not, you want to keep your spine in alignment.  Knees soft (not bent), lower ab and oblique slightly contracted (and held), keeps the spine stretched from tailbone up to the base of the head.

Think about the way you want to look and imitate that when you work out, stand, or sit.  If you work out with proper posture your body will start to correct any imbalances!

Taylor and I will be going into more detail on posture in the future.

I was a poet first, but became a fantasy fiction writer in high school after reading The Hobbit, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, and The Sword of Shannara. After completing my dual major in Anthropology and History at WLU and reading The Forever War, I Robot, and numerous Star Wars books, I also started writing science fiction.
