Somewhere I have a picture of Taylor sitting on a stability ball, explaining about stretching, but alas I can’t find it so I posted this picture again. For any businesses, social clubs, in the Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo area, we can do a fitness workshop with you, and the only cost is food cans for the local food bank.

Full Circle
A couple of weeks ago, I was offered a chance to return to my high school to be a guest speaker for the grade 12 kinesiology class. Even after 12 years, the final project for the class is still the same as it had been for me, which requires students to find someone who works in the broad spectrum of health care and have them speak to the class about their chosen profession.
When I was in high school, it was that particular class that really sparked my interest in health care and got me started on my journey toward becoming a Massage Therapist. It was a thrill for me I must admit to be on the opposite side of the room as I spoke about what has come to pass for me throughout the past decade:
Two years of intense, condensed schooling followed by the provincial exams to become registered.
Once out in a clinic setting, wondering if I was making a difference in the lives and wellbeing of my clients.
The freedom (and also uncertainty) that comes with being self employed.
Needing to continually find different ways to learn new things and improve my knowledge base in order to stay updated and registered…a continuous whirlwind of a ride to be sure, but one I wouldn’t change for the world!
Being able to express to those students my love and passion for my profession and the work I get to do on a daily basis, only solidifies further in my mind that, even through all of the insanity and hardships over the last eight years to get to this point, I know I’ve made the right choice for myself and every single joyous and agonizing second has been worth it. I can’t wait to see what the next decade holds in store for this RMT!
