We did pieces of the exercise puzzle before but now we should look at programs.
As a trainer I can teach clients a variety of exercises using just the body (calisthenics), machines (Hammer Strength, Atlantis/Precision, Paramount, Keiser, Nautilus, Matrix, LifeFitness, etc.), free weights, cables, and specific equipment such as the stability ball, strength bands, TRX, and Bosu. Taylor has already shown you a variety of stretches and has many more. However, not every exercise is for everyone. Genetics, lifestyle, and health conditions (cardiovascular and other diseases, and injuries) will decide what you can do today and tomorrow. Genetics often decides what you will be good at (speed, strength, flexibility, endurance). I say often, because it’s what you do with your genetics. A hint as we go along! If your body says you can’t do something today, leave it open that you might be able to in the future. It doesn’t matter if you never do the exercise just don’t limit yourself with the word never.
All the programs will be adaptable. You just have to figure out what you’re capable of.
We will continue to ask individuals (by our request only) to do guest blogs, such as Chris Watson (personal trainer, MMA competitor, football coach, and all the other credentials he has), and Samantha Borys (owner of Be A Better You, and former Personal Trainer).
As for humorous videos, we’ll see. It’s hard to get everyone together and they’ll have to be posted on caedar-writing-artwork.wordpress.com.
We’ll be staying with biweekly blogs and the first will be this coming Friday.
