Golf balls! Of all things, right?! These little wonders possess a great shape and texture for helping to gently roll away tension, especially of the hands and feet. The more you use and become familiar with them, the more tension releasing possibilities you will discover!
I personally use them most often to help combat tension build up and poor circulation in my hands, feet, forearms, and sometimes even through low back and hips! To begin, experiment with lightly rolling one ball between your hands all about your fingers and palms, or of your toes and soles while seated. Then, working your way up toward mild to moderate pressure, see which areas you feel need the most attention and spend some extra time rolling through those spots.
Keep in mind that if at any point what your doing becomes overly painful, reduce the pressure you are using or stop the action altogether and try again another day. Also, as it happens, golf balls travel quite well, as they are light and take up very minimal real estate in a purse or work bag!
Next Saturday!!! Back Exercises!
